Sanya, China, April 9, 2026: Sanya River will come alive with dazzling colours and the rhythmic beating of drums when dragon boat racing is held during the 6th Asian Beach Games from April 22-30.
Dragon boat will offer six gold medals over three days, with two each on April 24, 25 and 26.
All six events will involve crews of 12 rowers in small boat format, with the women’s and men’s 100 metres straight race on Friday, April 24, the 200 metres on Saturday, April 25 and the 400 metres on Sunday, April 26 – the third and final day of fast and frantic dragon boat racing.
It is sure to be an action-packed three days at the Asian Beach Games, with the Sanya River no doubt a popular destination for spectators.
