New Delhi, India, April 7, 2026: Hockey India marked the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace - a United Nations initiative - on April 6 with a series of social media posts.
“We proudly raise the #WhiteCard for peace, respect and unity through sport,” Hockey India remarked.
“Hockey India remains committed to building harmony on and off the field. Together, let sport inspire a better tomorrow.”
Hockey India used the occasion to point out that 251 million children were not in school.
“For them, a simple gesture: Raise your #WhiteCard.”
Hockey India tagged the International Hockey Federation (FIH), the Department of Sports and Youth Services of the Government of Odisha, the Asian Hockey Federation and the Sports Authority of India to further promote their white card campaign.
