Sanya, China, April 6, 2026: The community promotion campaign for the 6thAsian Beach Games in Sanya this month continued with an event at the Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area.
Against a backdrop of coconut trees, sea breezes and golden beach views, residents and visitors engaged with the Games mascot Ya Ya and experienced the excitement of the upcoming event through fun activities.
The Asian Beach Games Signature Wall, specially designed for the event, quickly became one of its most popular highlights as residents and visitors enthusiastically left handwritten messages sharing their hopes for Sanya and the Games.
“Wishing Sanya 2026 a great success,” said one.
“Looking forward to athletes achieving outstanding results here,” said another.
“I love beach sports” added a third.
These heartfelt messages and sincere wishes came together as a warm expression of anticipation for the 6th ABG, which will run from April 22-30 with 14 sports, 15 disciplines and 62 events.
In front of the themed photo boards, residents and visitors, along with mascot Ya Ya, posed for photos against a blue sea-and-sky backdrop.
The interactive games zone quickly became the centre of attention, with a wide range of entertaining games drawing enthusiastic participation from families.
“After participating in today’s activities, I’ve gained a better understanding of Sanya 2026 and feel much closer to the Games,” said Sanya resident Lü Yuan.
As a local resident, he felt a strong sense of pride seeing his hometown host an international sporting event. “I hope all the athletes perform exceptionally well. I believe that hosting this significant event will boost Sanya’s reputation and enable more people to experience its warmth and vitality.”
