Kathmandu, Nepal, April 5, 2026: Jeevan Ram Shrestha, President of Nepal Olympic Committee, and other high-ranking NOC officials were on hand to welcome Nasser Nassiri, President of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO), during a courtesy visit to the NOC headquarters on Friday, April 3.
The meeting between the two parties focused on strengthening mutual friendship and enhancing future coordination for the development of kickboxing in Nepal and the Asian region.
Also in attendance were NOC Secretary General Rajiv Shrestha and other NOC officials Ram Krishna Shrestha, Ramesh Shiwakoti and Lhakpa Tshering Lama.
The WAKO President was accompanied by local kickboxing founder Deepak Shrestha and other enthusiasts of the sport, Shailendra Kumar Shrestha and Diwans Shrestha.
