Nagoya, Japan, April 1, 2026: Asian Games mascot Honohon has turned his hand to the tough and challenging sport of modern pentathlon.

In Volume 11 of Honohon’s “Growth Story”, the mascot for the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya from September 19 to October 4 discovered just how difficult modern pentathlon can be.

Modern pentathlon features five sports disciplines: fencing, obstacle, swimming and laser run incorporating shooting and running.

“What it takes is ‘Focus, Judgment and Perseverance’,” Honohon commented.

“Modern Pentathlon tests more than one kind of strength. Come and feel the excitement live,” he concluded.

The Asian Modern Pentathlon Confederation, together with the Japanese Modern Pentathlon Association, held the 2025 Asian Modern Pentathlon Championships and 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Qualifier in Anjo, Japan, from November 10-16.
