Tashkent, Uzbekistan, March 29, 2026: An open day was held at the State Sports Academy of Uzbekistan on Friday, March 27, with the involvement of key stakeholders including the Ministry of Sport and the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.
The aim of the open day was to show guests the work the state is accomplishing to develop sport in the country through the activities of the federations and national teams, as well as the progress being made in the field of science.
Among the dignitaries in attendance was the Minister of Sport, Adham Ikramov, OCA Vice President and First Deputy Chairman of the NOC, Otabek Umarov, and NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov.
The role the Academy plays was spelled out and it was emphasised that the Academy trains athletes, coaches and other specialists in the field.
At the end of the event, the audience participated in an interactive session and meeting with officials from the Ministry of Sport, the NOC and the leadership of the Academy.
