Nagoya, Japan, March 27, 2026: Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games mascot Honohon continued his “Growth Story” by trying out rhythmic gymnastics.
“Flowing ribbons in the air, graceful movements with the ball — a sport full of elegance and expression,” is how Honohon describes rhythmic gymnastics.
“Spin, toss and catch…It looks beautiful - but it’s harder than it seems!”
Honohon says the sport demands flexibility, balance and focus.
“We can’t wait to experience the elegance and artistry of rhythmic gymnastics with Asia’s top athletes at the Asian Games,” Honohon concluded.
In the build-up to the 20th Asian Games, which will run from September 19 to October 4, Honohon is taking part in all the sports on the programme in order to highlight the various skills required – and the attractions of each sport. This is his “Growth Story” as the Asian Games mascot.
