Astana, Kazakhstan, March 27, 2026: The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has welcomed strong support and cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the fight against doping.
The news follows a meeting in Torun, Poland between WADA President Witold Banka and Kazakhstan’s Minister of Tourism and Sport, Yerbol Myrzabosynov.
“I thank the Government of Kazakhstan for its financial contribution to anti-doping research and its commitment to host WADA’s Executive Committee and Foundation Board meetings in Astana in 2027,” Banka posted.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships.
“This additional support will make a meaningful impact on anti-doping research globally and reflects Kazakhstan’s important role in promoting clean sport,” WADA added.
