Doha, Qatar, March 24, 2026: World Gymnastics has cancelled the Artistic Gymnastics Apparatus World Cup which was to be held in Doha from April 15 – 18, 2026.
In a press release last Friday, March 20, World Gymnastics stated: “After an urgent online vote and in light of the current situation in the Middle East, the Executive Committee has decided to cancel the 2026 edition of the Artistic Gymnastics Apparatus World Cup, which was due to be held in Doha, Qatar.”
The organisation left no room for ambiguity. “The event will not be rescheduled," it added, underlining the finality of the decision taken by its executive leadership.
World Gymnastics expressed its support to all those impacted by the recent developments and hopes for a swift return to stability in the Middle East.
