Kathmandu, Nepal, March 23, 2026: The Nepal Olympic Committee held a farewell ceremony for six young athletes bound for the 10th World Junior Wushu Championships in Tianjin, China.
NOC President Jeevan Ram Shrestha, presiding at the ceremony, gave his best wishes to the six athletes.
The world juniors will also serve as a qualifying event for the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal, later this year.
The athletes representing Nepal are Rashmi Tamang, Girish Poudel, Lhakpa Dolma Lama, Sara Tamang, Samrat Thapa and Chhiring Sherpa.
Also in attendance were NOC Secretary General Rajiv Shrestha, President of Nepal Wushu Federation Bir Bahadur Tamang, and NOC Board member Lhakpa Tshering Lama.
