OCA/AINAGOC announce dates for second WBM, WPB

Kuwait City, Kuwait, March 20, 2026: The Olympic Council of Asia has announced that the second World Broadcasters Meeting (WBM) and second World Press Briefing (WPB) for the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan will be held in May.

 

The 2nd WBM will take place on May 19-20 and will be followed by the 2ndWPB on May 21-22. Both events will be held at Port Messe Nagoya – venue for the Main Media Centre (MMC) at the 20th Asian Games, which will run from September 19 to October 4, 2026.

 

The deadline for applications is March 31.

 

The 2nd WBM for rights-holding broadcasters will include a venue tour on Wednesday, May 20, taking in three competition venues in Aichi Prefecture – Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletics Stadium, Nagoya City Mizuho Park Rugby Field and Ichinomiya City Municipal Gymnasium.

The venue tour for the 2nd WPB will be on the first day – Thursday, May 21. The second day will include a presentation by organising committee AINAGOC.

 

“The 2nd World Broadcasters Meeting before the Games, this session will provide key updates on broadcast operations, venue readiness and the services that will be available during the Games period. It will also offer an opportunity for final coordination and discussion with all rights holders,” AINAGOC said.
