Sanya, China, March 18, 2026: The draw for three team sports at the 6th Asian Beach Games in Sanya, China next month was held on Wednesday, March 18.
The draw was for beach soccer, beach handball and beach kabaddi and was conducted by the Sanya Asian Beach Games Organising Committee (SABGOC). The draw was as follows:
*Beach soccer (men)
Group A: People’s Republic of China, Oman, Palestine
Group B: Islamic Republic of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, United Arab Emirates
*Beach handball (men)
Group A: People’s Republic of China, Islamic Republic of Iran, Philippines, Hong Kong-China, India, Sri Lanka, Bahrain
Group B: Oman, Pakistan, Jordan, Maldives, Bangladesh, Thailand, Qatar, Mongolia.
*Beach handball (women)
Group A: Vietnam, Philippines, Hong Kong-China, Thailand
Group B: People’s Republic of China, India, Turkmenistan, Sri Lanka, Mongolia
*Beach kabaddi (men)
Group A: Pakistan, Islamic Republic of Iran, Bangladesh, Syrian Arab Republic
Group B: India, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Sri Lanka
*Beach kabaddi (women)
Group A: India, Sri Lanka, Syrian Arab Republic
Group B: Thailand, Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, Nepal
The 6th Asian Beach Games will take place in Sanya, Hainan Island, from April 22-30 with 14 sports, 15 disciplines and 63 events.
