Mumbai, India, March 16, 2026: The President of the Indian Olympic Association, PT Usha, met Australian cricket legend Glenn McGrath during his visit to India.
The IOA President said it was “an absolute pleasure” to meet with the Australian fast-bowling great.
“His performances and records on the field of cricket, and his work off the pitch – from nurturing young talent to his philanthropic initiatives – are extremely inspiring,” Usha posted on social media.
“Was delighted to see him put on the Indian Olympic Association pin badge, kindly presented to him by Team India. Expressed my best wishes to him for the incredible work he is doing for sports and society,” Usha added.
McGrath, who finished with 563 Test wickets and 381 in One-Day Internationals, was honoured with the International Icon Award at the Sportstar Aces Awards 2026 in Mumbai on Friday, March 13.
