London, England, March 15, 2026: Formula 1 has announced that the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grand Prix races will not take place in April due to the turmoil in the Middle East.
The official statement - made on Saturday, March 14 by the FIA - said the races would not be replaced on the calendar.
“The Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix will not take place in April,” the FIA announced on X.
“Due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East, the Grands Prix, alongside the F2, F3 and F1 Academy rounds, will not take place as scheduled.
“While alternatives were considered, no substitutions will be made in April.”
The Bahrain F1 race was due to be held in Sakhir on April 12, and the Saudi F1 race in Jeddah on April 19.
The Chinese Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, March 15, at the Shanghai International Circuit.
