Kathmandu, Nepal, March 14, 2026: Kathmandu embraced the spirit of the Asian Games Fun Run with a colourful and carnival-style atmosphere on Saturday, March 14.
Amidst crashing cymbals, drums and other traditional musical instruments, a parade of around 1,000 participants joined the 3km course past some of the city’s famous landmarks before ending at Patan Durbar Square.
The participants really stood out with their white Asian Games Fun Run T-shirts, while the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games mascot Honohon was everywhere during the proceedings, which started at 7.30am.
OCA Deputy Director General Vinod Kumar Tiwari attended the event, alongside representatives from the AINAGOC PR department led by Fumihito Kanaizuka, as well as Nepal Olympic Committee President Jeevan Ram Shrestha and other leading officials.
The Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu, Ms. Manjari Sakia, was also present to join in the festivities of the Asian Games Fun Run in Nepal.
