Tokyo, Japan, March 5, 2026: Candidates for Japan’s E-sports team at this year’s Asian Games attended a training camp in Tokyo to enhance their skills and knowledge.

The camp was held at the National Training Center in Tokyo on Tuesday, March 3.

Electronic sports have quickly established themselves as a firm fan favourite at the Asian Games, following their inclusion as a demonstration sport at Jakarta-Palembang 2018 and as a full medal sport at Hangzhou 2022.

E-sports use mobile and video games and require tactics, strategy and advanced gaming skills. The E-sports programme is sure to attract big crowds at the 20th Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan from September 19 to October 4.
