Tashkent, Uzbekistan, March 5, 2026: A project to build a new golf resort complex in Tashkent was discussed between Uzbekistan sports officials and Malaysian company Spora Global Sdn Bhd on Tuesday, March 3.
The meeting was held at the Ministry of Sport and attended by the Deputy Minister, Shahrulla Mahmudov, Uzbekistan NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov, the chairman of the national golf federation, Dilshod Tokhirov, and the visiting Malaysian officials.
Both parties exchanged views on the economic and social significance of the initiative, as well as its prospects for raising golf to a new level in Uzbekistan, holding international competitions and developing sports tourism.
