Kuwait City, Kuwait, March 4, 2026: On behalf of the Asian Olympic Movement, we are deeply saddened by the current conflict in the Middle East which have negatively affected our athletes and communities. We stand in solidarity with the families and communities impacted by the current situation.

At this moment of uncertainty, we hope for calm, safety and a swift return to stability.

Dialogue and the protection of civilians must remain priorities.

OCA is in close contact with our National Olympic Committees and the various Games Organising Committees for our upcoming Games in 2026.

OCA’s priorities are the safety and wellbeing of our Asian Olympic Movement, particularly our athletes.

The Coordination Committee for the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026 concluded successfully in Nagoya, Japan on March 2-3.

OCA is monitoring the current developments carefully and responsibly.

OCA is built on unity, and our unity matters now more than ever, and we hope the stability in the region returns soon.
