World judo president Marius Vizer visits Olympic Village in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan, March 2, 2026: The President of the International Judo Federation, Marius Vizer, visited the Olympic Village in Tashkent on Saturday, February 28.

 

The IJF delegation was welcomed by the Minister of Sport, Adham Ikramov, OCA Vice President and First Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan NOC Otabek Umarov, and other top officials from the NOC and the national judo federation.

 

The visitors observed competitions and training camps, talked with young athletes and were briefed on the facilities and the future plans for the Olympic Village.

 

The IJF President also had discussions on how to further cooperation between the IJF and Uzbekistan sports with the focus on implementing joint projects and boosting close ties.
