Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, March 2, 2026: The President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria, paid a courtesy call on YB Dr. Taufiq Johari, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia, on Thursday, February 26 at the Minister’s Office in Putrajaya.
“We seek the continued support and close collaboration of the Ministry and all its agencies in our participation in all the multi-sport games within the Olympic cycle 2025-2028,” stated Dr. Norza.
“I also look forward to working closely with YB Dr. Mohammed Taufiq Johari, who is the Chairman of the Malaysia SEA Games Organising Committee (MASOC), to ensure the successful delivery of the 34th SEA Games Malaysia 2027,” added Dr. Norza.
The OCM President thanked the Ministry of Youth and Sports for its support and collaboration in the construction of Olympic House, the new headquarters of OCM, which involves a sublease of 5.38 acres of land from the Malaysian Stadium Corporation (Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia) within the Kuala Lumpur Sports City.
“As the umbrella body for the 58 National Sports Associations affiliated with OCM, we seek sustained and structured support from Y.B. Dr. Mohammed Taufiq Johari, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and all its agencies for all NSAs, in order to strengthen governance, enhance athlete development and elevate high-performance achievements at the international stage,” he concluded.
Dr. Norza was accompanied by six members of the OCM Executive Board.
