Male, Maldives, March 1, 2026: The Maldives Olympic Committee held its Annual General Assembly last week under the auspices of the Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation, Hon. Abdulla Rafiu, and NOC President Mohamed Abdul Sattar.
Representatives from 16 member associations as well as two athlete representatives participated in the General Assembly where the annual report and accounts for 2025, as well as the budget for 2026, were passed.
The meeting also featured a special recognition segment honouring the Chefs de Mission of the various Games held in 2025, and individuals who supported the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Fun Run and the launch of the King’s Baton Relay.
LA28 scholarship holders were presented with their grants, while the Bank of Maldives was also recognised for its continued support of local athletes.
