Asian Games tickets now on sale for local residents

Nagoya, Japan, February 26, 2026: Tickets for the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya went on sale on Thursday, February 26.

 

Organising committee AINAGOC announced that first priority ticket sales opened at 5pm local time Thursday for residents of the host region.

 

In a social media post, Asian Games Official Ambassador Ken Matsudaira urged the public to buy their tickets early for the 20th Asian Games, which will take place from September 19 to October 4, 2026.

 

“I encourage everyone who is living in the host area to visit the venue near you and cheer on the athletes in a full house,” said Matsudaira, a Japanese actor and musician from Toyohashi in Aichi prefecture.

 

“I will be joining you in making the Games even more exciting,” added Matsudaira, 72.

 

“Asia’s largest sports festival is finally about to kick off. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Get your tickets early! Let’s change the world with our cheers.”

 

Second-round priority ticket sales will start on March 12 and end March 31. There will be no regional restrictions for the second phase of ticket sales.
