Nagoya, Japan, February 25, 2026: The Asian Games Fun Run is coming to Nagoya!
The organising committee of the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya (AINAGOC) announced on Wednesday, February 25 that Nagoya would host the popular Fun Run on Saturday, April 18 in conjunction with the OCA.
Members of the public have been invited to register for the fun run, free of charge, from February 25 to March 18, with a deadline of 5pm.
Furthermore, the fun run will be held at the newly refurbished Nagoya City Tsubo Park Athletics Stadium (Paloma Tsubo Stadium), formerly known as the Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletics Stadium.
The stadium is set to open next month so the fun run will give local residents the opportunity to see the sparkling new venue ahead of the 20th Asian Games, which will run from September 19 to October 4.
“In order to make more people aware of the Asian Games, we are holding a fun run over 500 metres around the track of the new stadium,” AINAGOC announced in a social media post.
“We invite children and families to take part and to have fun. There will be no race time, and walking is fine.”
The fun run will start at 11am, and everyone will receive a commemorative t-shirt with a unique Asian Games Fun Run design. Medals and certificates will also be presented.
Special guest will be comedian/tarento/actress Kayoko Okubo, whose hometown is Tahara, Aichi prefecture. Okubo is an Asian Games Ambassador and is sure to prove popular with the fun run participants.
“Join us for a special experience in which you can run around the freshly finished stadium,” AINAGOC concluded.
The Asian Games Fun Run is part of the OCA’s Asian Games for All campaign, along with the Youth Reporter Project and Children’s Art Competition.
