Bahrain NOC discusses furthering sporting ties with Turkish Ambassador

Manama, Bahrain, February 24, 2026: HH Sheikh Issa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Her Excellency Ayse Hilal Sayan Koytak, at the BOC headquarters last week.

 

Sheikh Issa, who conveyed the greetings of the BOC President, HH Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to the Turkish ambassador, underlined the deep ties that unite the Kingdom and Turkey at all levels.

 

Discussions focused on ways to promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of sports with Sheikh Issa emphasising the importance of driving the close relationship to further progress and growth.

 

In her turn, the Ambassador expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the warm welcome and hospitality, and stressed the importance of such meetings in promoting the prospects of mutual cooperation in the field of sports between the countries.

 

The Ambassador also wished the Kingdom of Bahrain continued prosperity and progress.

 

Also in attendance were BOC Secretary General Faris Mustafa Al-Kooheji and BOC Executive Director of Operations Ahmed Mohamed Abdulghaffar.
