Amman, Jordan, February 23, 2026: The Minister of Youth and Vice President of the Jordan Olympic Committee, Dr. Raed Al-Adwan, crowned the winners of the Baja Sports Festival in the Red Sea city of Aqaba.
The Jordan Olympic Committee organised competitions in boxing, karate, esports and taekwondo with more than 200 athletes participating, reflecting the growing interest in community sports across the Kingdom.
Rana Al-Saeed, Secretary General of the JOC, said the second edition of the Baja Sports Festival witnessed strong engagement from sports enthusiasts and showcased high technical standards during competitions, with wide participation from athletes from the southern governorates.
She emphasised the JOC’s commitment to continuing such initiatives, which help promote national sports and provides young talent with opportunities to demonstrate their abilities.
Aqaba was selected as host city due to it being a tourist hot-spot and advanced infrastructure, in addition to the festival’s alignment with Jordan Baja 2026 – a popular motorsports event.
