SF&OC promotes public voting for Hong Kong sports awards

Hong Kong, China, February 21, 2026: The Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China has announced that public voting for the Cathay 2025 Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards has entered its final 10-day countdown.

 

“Seize this last opportunity to vote on the official website for your favourite athletes, support this annual mega event, widely known as the ‘Hong Kong Sports Oscars’, and stand a chance to win fabulous prizes worth over HK$110,000 in total,” SF&OC announced in a press release.

 

 

 

There are four award categories: for men, women, team only sport and sports combination.

 

Following three weeks of voting, world No. 1 Ryan Choi (fencing), who captured a historic men’s foil individual gold medal at the World Championships last year, is currently leading the votes for the men’s award, followed by Coleman Wong (tennis), Wong Chun Ting (table tennis), Ian Ho (swimming) and Lee Cheuk Yiu (badminton).

 

Siobhan Haughey (swimming) leads the women’s award, followed by Ng On Yee (billiards), Grace Lau (karatedo), Ceci Lee (cycling) and Kaylin Hsieh (fencing).

 

The men’s handball team leads the team sport award and the men’s foil team leads the sports combination award.

 

This year's awards received a total of 128 nominations from 56 National Sports Associations. The four award categories will be voted on by the judging panel, the media and the public. The results will be announced at the Awards Presentation Ceremony to be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on March 31.

 

Public voting closes March 1, with all voters entered into a draw with prizes worth 100,000 HKD.
