Oman NOC holds Technology and AI course in sports training

Muscat, Oman, February 18, 2026: The Oman Olympic Committee, in collaboration with the Oman Olympic Academy and Olympic Solidarity, concluded a three-day course in Technology and Artificial Intelligence in sports training.

 

The course, from February 15-17 at the Academy headquarters, was attended by representatives from various sporting sectors and was part of ongoing efforts to develop national competency and enhance professional standards.

 

Majid bin Said Al-Busafi, Professor of Sports Training at the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, College of Education, Sultan Qaboos University, and Director of the Humanities Research Centre at the university, conducted the course.

 

The course was aimed to enable participants to design and implement technology-based training programmes, analyse sports data and utilise the outcome to develop more efficient and effective training decisions that improve performance levels and boost prospects of achieving good results in competition.
