Kuwait City, Kuwait, February 12, 2026: The Olympic Council of Asia, in partnership with United World Wrestling, is hosting the OCA/UWW Asian Youth Training Camp and Course for Coaches in the 2010 Asian Games host city of Guangzhou, China this July.
In a circular to Asia’s 45 National Olympic Committees dated February 11, OCA Director General Husain Al Musallam says the camp will take place from July 6-17, 2026.
“We are pleased to announce the OCA–UWW Asian Youth Training Camp and Coaches’ Course will be held in Guangzhou, China, from July 6-17, 2026 as part of the OCA/Olympic Solidarity Continental Programme,” the circular says.
Each NOC is entitled to join the camp with the following participants based on a selection criteria list which has been sent to the NOCs:
*Two young athletes, one girl and one boy, born between 01.01.2009 and 31.12.2011. Under exceptional circumstances, and with the approval of the OCA and UWW, two athletes of the same gender can be nominated.
*One coach per NOC.
The key dates are as follows:
*Deadline for applications: March 11, 2026
*Arrival of athletes and coaches: July 7, 2026
*Training Youth Camp: July 8-15, 2026
*Departure: July 16, 2026.
OCA and UWW will bear expenses for full-board accommodation, air tickets (economy class) for two athletes and one coach, and local transportation.
The Chinese Olympic Committee and China Wrestling Federation will support all delegates to obtain the necessary entry visa to China after finalizing all registrations.
