Thimphu, Bhutan, February 9, 2026: The Bhutan Olympic Committee, in conjunction with Olympic Solidarity, concluded a Foundational Sports Science Course on Friday, February 6.
Designed to enhance knowledge of the science behind sports, the course was conducted by the National Coaching Academy and equipped participants with foundational concepts applicable across coaching, training, physical education and fitness.
The programme, which began in early January, emphasised how scientific principles can be translated into practical applications that contribute to performance improvement and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
Tashi Jamtsho, a participant, said: “As a coach, it is a great honour to be able to learn from such courses.
"It not only helped me understand and learn about the science behind sports but also know what and how such knowledge can be applied to improve the healthy lifestyles of the students."
