Milan, Italy, February 7, 2026: The Olympic Council of Malaysia has issued a limited-edition Olympic pin for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games.
The pin is specially designed to commemorate Malaysia’s third consecutive appearance in the Winter Olympics and to symbolise the nation’s pride, perseverance and ongoing journey at the Olympic Winter Games.
The limited-edition pins were officially released in co-host city Cortina d’Ampezzo on Friday, February 6 prior to the opening ceremony.
This remarkable achievement of a third consecutive Winter Olympics appearance for the SEA region nation reflects the continued commitment and long-term vision of the OCM in the development of winter sports, as well as its unwavering support in enabling Malaysian athletes to compete on the world’s highest winter sports stage.
The five-strong contingent is comprised of: Mr. Salehhuddin Ayob (OLY), Chef de Mission; Mdm. Siti Alphiah Tunggal, Team Manager; 3. Mr. Kai Alaerts, Coach; Ms. Aruwin Idami Salehhuddin (OLY), Athlete; and Mr. Wan Hor Fong, Chief Executive Officer of NOC Malaysia.
In conjunction with this historic hat-trick appearance, NOC Malaysia, in collaboration with Universal Traveller Malaysia, produced a distinctive, stylish and modern winter apparel ensemble for the opening ceremony on Friday.
The specially designed winter apparel features an elegant all-white winter jacket and pants, emblazoned with the word “Malaysia” prominently positioned over the heart. Complementing the outfit is a custom-designed beanie featuring a stylised “M” calligraphy, symbolising “Malaysia”, along with coordinated black and white gloves and brown winter boots.
