Milan, Italy, February 5, 2026: The Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China has announced the two flagbearers for the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics opening ceremony on Friday, February 6.
Eloise King (Alpine Skiing) and Kwok Tsz Fung (Short Track Speed Skating) will have the honour of carrying the flag of the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong, China at the famous San Siro Stadium.
Eloise achieved Hong Kong’s best-ever result at Alpine World Ski Championships last year, finishing 35th in the Women’s Slalom. She will compete in the Alpine Skiing Women’s Slalom at Milano Cortina 2026.
Kwok reached the quarterfinals in Short Track Speed Skating at the Harbin Asian Winter Games last year and will compete in the Men’s 1000m and 1500m at the Winter Olympics.
Kwok said: “It is a tremendous honour to be a flagbearer. Representing Hong Kong, China carries profound meaning for me, and I feel even more prestigious than in regular competitions.”
Eloise also expressed her gratitude: “I am very honoured to serve as a flagbearer for the Hong Kong, China delegation. As I will also represent Team Hong Kong, China in competition thereafter, this recognition holds even greater significance for me.”
Four athletes will represent Hong Kong, China to compete in alpine skiing and short track speed skating. This marks Hong Kong’s largest Winter Olympics delegation in history.
