Saudi to send two skiers to Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, February 4, 2026: The Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee have announced that two athletes will represent the Kingdom at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics from February 6 – 22.

 

The two athletes are Faik Abdi, who will compete in men’s alpine skiing, and Rakan Ali Raza, who will take part in the men’s cross-country skiing.

 

This participation comes as an extension of the ongoing efforts to empower Saudi athletes in various sports, and the support of the wise leadership led by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee.

 

The presence of a Saudi team at the Winter Olympic Games in Italy is an important milestone in the path of building the Kingdom’s winter sports system which has seen significant progress over the past few years.
