AINAGOC thanks public for contributing to ‘metal for medals’ project
Nagoya, Japan, February 3, 2026: The organising committee of the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, has thanked the public for contributing to the “metal for medals” project.

AINAGOC asked people to donate their unwanted small appliances to the cause, as the metal will be recycled and help to make the medals for this year’s Asian Games and 5th Asian Para Games.

“Thank you very much for your tremendous support in collecting unused small electronic devices. We received far more contributions than expected,” AINAGOC said.

“The metal collected through your cooperation will be recycled and transformed into part of the award medals for the 20th Asian Games and the 5th Asian Para Games Aichi–Nagoya 2026.

“Each and every contribution has come together to create a powerful force supporting the Games. We sincerely thank everyone who took part in this project.”
