Oman takes part in CDM meeting for 4th Gulf Games in Qatar

Muscat, Oman, February 3, 2026: The Oman Olympic Committee’s Bader bin Ali Awlad Thani participated in the Chefs de Mission Meeting for the 4th Gulf Games in Doha, Qatar on Sunday and Monday, February 1-2.

 

The meeting, attended by delegates from all the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, discussed preparations for the May 11-22 Games.

 

Among the topics discussed were organisational matters, logistics, technical aspects related to competition schedules and the accreditation process for athletes and officials. 

 

The Chefs de Mission were also taken on site visits to competition and training venues by the Qatari organising committee to assess their readiness and compliance with hosting requirements, as well as to review the infrastructure and support services.

 

The 4th Gulf Games will feature the participation of more than 2,000 male and female athletes competing in 20 different sports, with competition taking place across 10 sports venues.
