Hong Kong, China, February 2, 2026: The Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China has announced that online public voting is now open for the Cathay 2025 Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards.
The online public voting began on January 31 and will be open to March 1.
Over 200 nominated athletes, teams and sports combinations attended a press conference at the East Point City in Tseung Kwan O, calling on the public to actively participate in the vote to support their favourite athletes and this annual event, which is widely known as the "Hong Kong Sports Oscars".
SF&OC President Timothy Fok said: “We are proud that Hong Kong athletes continued to shine on both international and local stages in 2025.
“At the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, our young athletes impressed us with their determination. As for the 15th National Games, experienced athletes and rising stars joined hands to achieve the best-ever results for Team Hong Kong, China.
“The annual Sports Stars Awards not only brings attention to outstanding athletes across disciplines but also provides an opportunity for the public to support them by voting and encourage them to keep pushing forward.
"This year marks the 75th anniversary of SF&OC, and a series of major sporting events are on the horizon. In addition to the upcoming Olympic Winter Games and the Asian Games in September, Hong Kong will, for the first time, host the XXVIII ANOC General Assembly Hong Kong, China, 2026, in December.”
This year's awards received a total of 128 nominations from 56 National Sports Associations. The judging panel, the media and the public will vote for the four award categories: Men, Women, Team Only Sport and Sports Combination.
The Awards Presentation Ceremony will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on March 31, 2026.
