Nagoya, Japan, February 2, 2026: Applications to become a torch relay runner for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 will close at midnight tonight (February 2), Japan time.
Organising committee AINAGOC made the announcement in a social media post on February 2 as excitement builds towards the 20th Asiad from September 19 to October 4.
“Would you like to run as a torchbearer in the Aichi–Nagoya 2026 Torch Relay?” AINAGOC said.
“Carry the torch filled with the passion and hopes of everyone involved in the Games.
“This is your chance to be part of a special moment—delivering the torch all the way to the Opening Ceremony.”
The relay will be held through 40 municipalities in Aichi Prefecture and will be open to all, regardless of nationality or gender.
