UAE NOC celebrates historic appearance at Winter Olympics

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, January 29, 2026: The United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee is celebrating its debut appearance at the Winter Olympics, lauding alpine skier Piera Hudson for the historic achievement at the Milano-Cortina Games next month.

 

“History is written on ice,” the UAE NOC posted on social media. “National team athlete Piera Hudson continues her inspiring journey in alpine skiing, proudly representing the UAE in its first-ever participation at the Winter Olympics and marking a new chapter in the nation’s sporting history.”

 

The 26th Winter Olympics will be held in the Italian cities of Milano and Cortina from February 6 – 22, with the participation of around 2,900 athletes from around the world.
