Jordan NOC signs MoU with Al Hussein Technical University

Amman, Jordan, January 20, 2026: The Jordanian Olympic Committee signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Al Hussein Technical University, in a move aimed at strengthening cooperation between the educational and sports sectors.

 

The MoU aims to spread sports and health culture among university students, support academically outstanding athletes through scholarships and educational facilities, implements specialised training programmes in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and organise joint sports and community events that promote community participation.

 

Jihad Qutaishat, Vice President of the Jordanian Olympic Committee, said the memorandum reflects the JOC’s keenness to expand its partnerships with national educational institutions, stressing that this cooperation opens new horizons for supporting young athletes, spreading health awareness, and building an integrated system that contributes to the development of national sports and enhances the role of youth in society.

 

Professor Dr. Ismail Al-Hanti, President of Al Hussein Technical University, affirmed that the university believes in the importance of integrating education and sports in building a balanced student personality, and that this partnership represents a qualitative step to support students and enable them to reconcile academic excellence with sports participation.
