Philippines NOC President chairs Executive Board meeting to map out strategy for 2026

Manila, Philippines, January 13, 2026: The Executive Board of the Philippines Olympic Committee, headed by President Abraham ‘Bambol’ Tolentino, held its inaugural meeting of 2026 to map out the country’s strategy for upcoming international competitions.

 

Tolentino emphasized that the upcoming schedule is vital for the nation’s preparation for the 20th Asian Games 2026 Aichi-Nagoya.

 

The POC President highlighted a diverse calendar that includes the Winter Olympic Games, the Summer Youth Olympic Games, and three major continental events including the Asian Games.

 

“The events lined up this year are all important. It is a combination of tournaments for present and youth athletes,” Tolentino said, underscoring the dual focus on current athletes and the next generation of talent.
