Pakistan Ambassador to the United Nations visits Olympic House in Lahore

Lahore, Pakistan, January 11, 2026: HE Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Ambassador/Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, paid a visit to Pakistan Olympic House in Lahore, during which he also visited the Pakistan Olympic Museum.

 

The Ambassador was met by Pakistan Olympic Association President Arif Saeed along with senior management of the POA, and also caught up with Olympic javelin champion Arshad Nadeem.

 

Iftikhar Ahmad was briefed on the vision, structure, and ongoing initiatives of the POA during the visit, and he appreciated the role of the POA in promoting Olympic values, athlete development, and Pakistan’s representation on the global sporting stage.

 

He said witnessing Arshad Nadeem winning the gold medal at the Paris Olympics was one of the greatest moments of his life, and one he will always cherish.

 

The visit underscored the significance of sports diplomacy and the enduring pride of Pakistan’s Olympic achievements.
