Tashkent, Uzbekistan, January 11, 2026: A two-day seminar was held at the Republican Scientific and Practical Centre of Sports Medicine (RSTIAM) in Tashkent under the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan with the aim of boosting medical support to national teams.
The seminar was conducted by Professor Andrey Baskov, an experienced neurosurgeon and vertebral specialist, visiting from the Russian Federation.
The seminar was attended by doctors working at the centre as well as at sports federations with topics such as restoring athletes’ health, early detection of injuries, and prevention was discussed.
Practical classes were also held with minor surgical operations performed.
