Iran NOC holds elections for its Athletes’ Commission

Tehran, Iran, December 24, 2025: The National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran successfully held an election to pick members to its Athletes’ Commission last week.

 

A total of 15 athletes were elected to the Athletes’ Commission during an election which was held in person as well as online. The elections featured 30 candidates, with a total of 275 eligible athletes taking part in voting.

 

Iran NOC Secretary General Dr. Mahdi Alinejad, who is also the Chair of the Elections Supervisory Committee, officially announced the results at the end of voting.

 

The elected athletes are (in the order of votes received) are:

 

Rahman Amouzad (freestyle wrestling)

Amin Mirzazadeh (Greco-Roman wrestling)

Milad Vaziri (archery)

Mohammad Reza Geraei (Greco-Roman wrestling)

Ali Pakdaman (fencing)

Hassan Taftian (athletics)

Sajad Ganjzadeh (karate)

Fazel Atrachali (kabaddi)

Farzaneh Faseehi (athletics)

Ariyan Salimi (taekwondo)

Nahid Kiani (taekwondo)

Najmeh Khedmati (shooting)

Amir Mehdi Zadeh (karate)

Negin Altoni (karate)

Daniyal Savel Shemsaki (skiing)
