Astana, Kazakhstan, December 23, 2025: Gennadiy Golovkin, President of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, was the guest of honour at the opening of the Kokshe Arena multi-functional sports complex in Kokshetau last week.
The new facility will be a platform for training and competition in a number of sports, including boxing, volleyball, wrestling, weightlifting and crossfit gyms with Olympic-standard certified equipment.
An athletics area has also been built adjacent to the complex.
The Kokshe Arena can seat more than 1,000 people and the complex includes a 650-seat multi-media equipped auditorium and a versatile sports hall.
The Kazakhstan NOC President met with a number of athletes during the opening ceremony and signed their sporting equipment during a tour of the facility.
