Oman NOC to hold Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games Fun Run and art competition

Muscat, Oman, December 10, 2025: The Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) will become the 12th National Olympic Committee from Asia to participate in the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games Fun Run.

 

The OOC disclosed that more than 600 participants will be involved in the Fun Run on Thursday, December 11, in the Al Khuwayr Area of the capital Muscat.

 

In addition the OOC will also conduct an art competition with around 40 boys and girls in Grades three and four from schools in Muscat participating.

 

“On behalf of the Oman Olympic Committee and NOC President HH Sayyid Asan Bin Qais Al-Said, I welcome you all to Muscat. The Fun Run and the art competition is part of promoting sport to the rest of society, and a way of encouraging the public to get involved in sports,” said Eng. Khalfan Saleh Al Naabi, OOC Board Member at a press conference on Wednesday, December 10.

 

Oman is the latest stopover in the OCA’s ‘Asian Games for All’ promotional campaign for the 20th Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in September, 2026.

 

The Fun Run in Muscat will be over 2 kilometres and 5 kms.

 

Eng. Khalfan thanked all the government and private sectors who are involved in the Fun Run for their support and sponsorship.
