The MoU marked a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to promote and develop sports for persons with impairments in Bhutan, and the presence of Her Royal Highness highlighted the continued commitment to advancing inclusive sports and empowering para-athletes across the country.

The MoU was formally signed by Sonam Karma Tshering, Secretary General of the Bhutan Paralympic Committee, and Karma Lotey, Chairman of Bhutan Insurance Limited.

The Bhutan Olympic Committee extended its heartfelt congratulations to both signatories on this meaningful partnership. This collaboration represents a significant step towards enhancing opportunities for para-athletes and advancing the broader vision of inclusivity, empowerment and sporting excellence in the country.

This partnership will contribute to enhancing athlete development programmes, training opportunities and the overall preparation of para-athletes as they prepare to compete at the Asian Para Games in Japan 2026.
