Sanya, China, December 5, 2025: The second TV Audit Meeting of the OCA for the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 was successfully held on December 3-4 in Sanya, China.
The meeting was chaired by Jeans Zhou Jian, OCA Director of Media and Broadcast, and was attended by Zhang Changfeng, Deputy Director and Secretary General of the Sanya Asian Beach Games Organising Committee (SABGOC) and Deputy Mayor of the Sanya Municipal Government.
Also in attendance were officials from the Publicity and Services Department, and Foreign Liaison Department of the Executive Committee of the Sanya Asian Beach Games, as well as host broadcaster Hainan Radio and Television Station. Dan Hupb, OCA independent auditor, attended online.
Zhang Changfeng noted that a number of significant milestones had been achieved, among them the television broadcasting plan with the host broadcaster establishing a comprehensive organisational structure and operational mechanism for the Games.
The 6th Asian Beach Games will be held in Sanya from April 22-30, 2026, and will feature 14 sports, 15 disciplines and 63 events. A record 3798 athletes have registered for the Games.
Substantial progress has also been made in the planning and design of the International Broadcast Centre, and key tasks such as ensuring a smooth broadcasting environment at competition venues were also on track according to Zhang.
During the meeting, the organising committee and the host broadcaster engaged in in-depth discussions with the OCA TV audit team, and areas covered included construction of the Main Media Centre (MMC) and IBC, software and hardware support for the event, and media operations.
Jeans Zhou Jian and Dan Hupb expressed their full satisfaction with the preparatory efforts of SABGOC in areas such as news publicity, media operations, and television broadcasting, and thanked the organisers for their efforts.
The OCA team also made on-site inspections of the Jinghai International Holiday Hotel and Sanya Asian Beach Games Park to assess the MMC and opening and closing ceremony venues.
