Guangzhou, China, December 3, 2025: The Olympic Council of Asia has launched its WeChat Official Account in Guangzhou on Wednesday, December 3.
Mubarak Alboainin, head of social media at the Olympic Council of Asia and Vice President of AIPS Asia, as well as representatives of corporate partners of the Olympic Council of Asia attended the ceremony held at the OCA Official Library.
Making the keynote address, Mubarak Al- Buainain said: “China has long been one of the Olympic Council of Asia’s most important partners. In recent years, the successful hosting of the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou and the 2025 Asian Winter Games in Harbin has set a high-quality example for the preparation and operation of major sporting events in Asia and beyond.”
He noted that in the future, OCA’s WeChat Official Account will deepen its influence in the Chinese market through Chinese content and social media.
The OCA will set up a media matrix, with the WeChat Official Account at its core, focusing on OCA news, sports information, athletes and cultural activities.
This will further strengthen the communication and interaction with all parties and convey the positive spirit of Olympic sports to the Chinese public.
Also in attendance was Xu Fengyun, director of the official archives of the Asian Youth Olympic Council.
