Amman, Jordan, November 26, 2025: On behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II, HRH Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II hosted the Jordan Football Association’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations on Tuesday, November 25, in the presence of HRH Princess Rajwa Al Hussein.
During the ceremony, a film titled ‘From the Threshold of the Dream to the Lights of Glory’ was shown, covering the milestones of football in Jordan from 1923 to the historic qualification for the 2026 World Cup finals, and the role the federation has had in developing the game since its establishment 75 years ago.
The ceremony was attended by HRH Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Football Association; HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee; HRH Princess Alia bint Al Hussein, President of the Royal Jordanian Equestrian Federation, and HRH Prince Mired bin Raed, Chief Chamberlin of the Royal Hashemite Court.
Also in attendance was FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
The Jordan FA’s future vision and strategy until 2029 was also unveiled during the ceremony.
The Crown Prince also held a meeting with FIFA’s Infantino, during which they discussed ways to expand cooperation between Jordan and FIFA.
