The beauty of Bhutan’s BEAST programme draws 20 athletes

Thimphu, Bhutan, November 20, 2025: The Bhutan Olympic Committee has announced that 20 elite athletes officially signed high-performance contracts under the Bhutan Elite Athlete Support and Training (BEAST) programme for the 2025-2026 cycle.

 

The group of 20 include one athlete in the Gold category – Kinley Tshering from athletics - 10 in the Silver, and nine in the bronze class. 

 

Kinley Tshering, who ran in the 800 metres boys’ event at last month’s Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, received a special upgrade to Gold category in recognition of his outstanding potential.

 

The contracts reflect the Bhutan Olympic Committee’s commitment to developing athlete support systems, establishing comprehensive high-performance routes, and advancing the country’s long-term success in the sporting world.
