Iran and Pakistan NOCs sign MoU on strengthening sports ties

Tehran, Iran, November 19, 2025: The National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan Olympic Association to strengthen sporting ties between the two countries.

 

Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, Iran NOC President, and Arif Saeed, POA President, signed the MoU on the sidelines of the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh.

 

The MoU is in line with the Iran NOC’s policy to expand regional and international sports relations.

 

During the meeting at the Hilton Hotel in Riyadh, both sides emphasised the importance of strengthening bilateral sports ties, and agreed to push for the participation of national teams in training camps, tournaments, and international education programmes.

 

The MoU also aims to promote collaboration in areas such as exchange of experience, development of sports infrastructure, and implementation of joint projects across various disciplines.

 

Following the signing ceremony, the Iran NOC President Khosravi Vafa invited his Pakistani counterpart to visit Iran and review the country’s sports facilities and identify potential areas for joint training camps.
